Edward Caldwell founded Seymour Library's Finley Collection on the History and Romance of the Northwest in honor of his undergraduate friend and Knox president, John Huston Finley.
The elaborate Caldwell Collection bookplate features a shelf of books, the Knox College seal, and the then-popular view of the approach to the north entrance to Old Main from the public square -- "The Way to Knox."
The Hourston Memorial Book Fund was established by Ian and Hannah Hourston in memory of Regnvald C.N. Hourston, a member of the Knox College faculty 1962-1977, and of his parents Thomas and Margaret Hourston.
Albert Hurd taught both natural sciences and classical languages at Knox College from 1851 until 1906. He was one of Knox's most distinguished 19th century professors.
